The Close Prices App
Using the new sales price experience within Business Central means that users are more likely to create new sales price lists whenever there are price updates to be applied. Creating new sales price lists allows for prices to be copied from another price list and then apply an uplift.
The only issue with this option is that multiple sales prices could be active at any particular date resulting in incorrect prices applied to sales orders. The close price app will automatically close off any previous sales price lists once a new one has been created reducing the risk of incorrect values on sales orders.

Using the new slider on the sales price list will change the ending date on any matching previous price lists to be the day before the new price list beings. For example, creating a sales price list for a customer price group that starts for 01/01/2024 will change the ending date on other active price lists for that same customer price group to 31/12/2023, thus preventing any overlapping prices.

The job queue can then be used to set any price lists as Inactive if all the sales price list have an ending date prior to the date that the routine on the job queue is run.
